Privacy Policy

Building Resources Inc. ("BRI," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information collected through our website, business communications, and construction and service operations, including our operational SMS/MMS messaging program.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide, such as your name, company, email address, telephone number, project or service details, scheduling information, and messages or photographs you choose to send. For text messaging, we also maintain consent and opt-out records, message content, and delivery information. Our website and technology providers may process basic technical information, such as browser and device information, IP addresses, and cookies needed to deliver and protect their services.

How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries, provide requested services, coordinate subcontractor dispatch and work assignments, arrange site access and appointments, communicate schedules and project updates, document service work, maintain business records, and protect our systems. BRI's operational text messaging program is not used for marketing or promotional texts.

SMS consent and your choices

BRI sends operational texts only after the individual recipient affirmatively agrees to receive them for the disclosed project or service purposes. Providing a telephone number, requesting work, or having an existing business relationship does not by itself enroll you in recurring texts. A property manager, employer, or other third party cannot consent on your behalf.

Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchasing services or working with BRI. We document the recipient's number, affirmative consent, date, method, and relevant project or service scope. You may choose telephone or email communication instead. Message frequency varies with project and service activity. Message and data rates may apply.

Mobile information and consent are protected

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell or rent mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or consent, and we do not transfer consent to another sender. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are excluded from any general information-sharing described in this policy.

Messaging and technology service providers may process the limited information necessary to operate BRI's program on our behalf, solely for that purpose, not for their own marketing. These providers include telecommunications delivery providers such as Twilio and business hosting or recordkeeping providers such as Google. This limited processing does not authorize another business to contact you.

Business information sharing

We share relevant project or service information with authorized personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and property representatives as needed to perform requested work. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect legal rights and system security. These uses do not permit sharing SMS opt-in data or consent for another party's purposes.

Data protection and retention

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including restricted access to business records and secured business systems. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. SMS/MMS is not a secure channel for confidential documents, passwords, financial information, medical information, or other sensitive personal data; please do not send that information by text.

We retain information as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain business and consent records, honor opt-outs, resolve disputes, and meet applicable obligations. Opting out stops operational texts but does not automatically delete records required for these purposes.

Privacy requests and contact

We may verify your identity before acting on a request and will respond subject to applicable requirements.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our operations change. The effective date above identifies the current version. A change to this policy does not enroll you in texts or expand the purposes of your existing consent.
